Job description
As Fund Controller, you will act as the financial backbone of Anthos’ fund platform. You oversee and challenge outsourced fund administration and reporting, ensuring that financial information is accurate, consistent and fit for purpose. Rather than producing the numbers yourself, you focus on validating outputs, understanding drivers behind movements, and improving the overall control framework.
You work closely with colleagues in Operations and Accounting & Reporting to ensure that monthly closes, annual accounts and regulatory reporting run smoothly. You actively question data, connect insights across systems, and help keep complexity manageable as the organisation grows. Your work directly supports internal teams, clients and regulators by providing clear, reliable and auditable financial information.
What you’ll do
- Oversee outsourced fund administration and review trial balances, accruals, fees, capital flows and reconciliations;
- Play a key role in the monthly close and maintain a robust internal “mini annual accounts” pack;
- Resolve discrepancies across investment data, the data warehouse and administrator outputs;
- Review annual accounts disclosures, reconciliations and audit evidence for accuracy and consistency;
- Oversee regulatory reporting such as MER, MESREP and AIFMD and ensure alignment with fund financials;
- Control fees, budgets and accruals by validating calculations and challenging invoices;
- Identify recurring issues, standardise controls and support automation initiatives;
- Contribute to ongoing data quality, process improvement and scalability of fund operations;
What you bring
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in fund accounting, financial reporting or audit;
- A strong understanding of NAVs, valuations, accruals, fees, FX, and reconciliations in a fund-of-funds context;
- Experience with Dutch GAAP and/or IFRS;
- Exposure to regulatory reporting such as MER, MESREP and AIFMD;
- A pragmatic, hands-on approach to improving complex fund processes and confidence in challenging external providers.
- You are required to speak English; knowledge of Dutch is a plus.

- Hybrid working model: guideline of 3 days per week at the office and 2 days flexible/remote
- Salary: approximately 85K a year gross based on 40 hours (depending on experience)
