Job Description
Step into the world of semiconductor technology and discover where curiosity meets innovation! At JIACO Instruments, we are looking for a Junior Process Engineer who thrives in a hands-on environment and is eager to turn precision, patience, and passion into expertise.
In this role, you will be at the heart of our laboratory operations. Your work will focus on preparing and processing samples, performing calibration tasks, and supporting the development of our advanced atmospheric plasma technology. You will collaborate closely with experienced engineers, gaining practical knowledge and a deep understanding of our processes and equipment. Each day in the lab will help you build the foundation for a strong technical career, where attention to detail and curiosity go hand in hand.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with technology in a structured and precise way, while being motivated to learn and grow. Over time, as your experience and confidence increase, you will have the opportunity to take on more responsibility and move toward the role of Process Engineer. Then you will apply your technical expertise beyond the lab by writing Process notes, supporting customers and research partners, and occasionally representing JIACO Instruments internationally.

What You Bring
- A BSc or MSc in engineering, physics, mechatronics or a related relevant field.
- A background or affinity within the semiconductor field and preferably experience with lab work.
- Experience with failure analysis, capable of identifying and addressing the root causes of device failures.
- Fluency in English and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A structured mindset and a talent for organizing complex work.
- Ideally you are living near Delft, to enable close collaboration and access to our lab facilities.
